Lifehacker writes about how to stick to your resolutions.
Sometimes I decide on doing something and then, after several days, come up with a million reasons why not to do it now or at all or just forget why I wanted to do it so much in the first place.
That’s why I started using the “21 days rule” – for the first 21 days I do what I decided to do without asking questions, or thinking about the reasons and in any cost reminding myself that I will be able to decide to stop doing it after 21 days.
After 21 days I’m already used to the new habit and all of a sudden it seems reasonable again.
